International Wine Enthusiasts impressed by Austria
(AWMB, June 2010) - AWMB, Austria’s wine producers and the VieVinum wine fair give a great show
On Monday evening (31 May 2010), the VieVinum, Austria’s largest and most prestigious biennial wine fair, came to an end in the Wiener Hofburg. Regarded as one of the most important weekends in the Austrian wine economy, the Austrian Wine Marketing Board (AWMB) invited over 850 international journalists, importers, agents and sommeliers to Vienna, to give the wine producers the opportunity to build up global contacts, nurture relationships as well as to forge business links. The focus was continuously on Austrian wine, and it proved its exceptional quality and professionalism not only at the wine fair, but also during the innovative side events, Master Class tastings and social programme. During the three day event, over 14,000 wine enthusiasts from all over Austria took the opportunity to taste the new vintages from Austrian wine producers in the majestic court palace rooms of the Wiener Hofburg, organized by MAC Hoffmann & Co.
