International Wine Festival - Vienna Vienna Hofburg, 8 - 10 June 2002-01-28VIEVINUM 2002The third VIEVINUM wine festival, first held in 1998, will be taking place this year from Saturday 8 June to Monday 10 June 2002. As usual the setting will be the Vienna Hofburg. The impressive atmosphere of Imperial Austria provides a unique environment for the presentation of wines which fulfil today's expectations of quality and lifestyle. The founder and organiser of the wine fair is the Vienna company MAC Hoffmann & Co. GmbH, who enjoy many years of experience in matters relating to wine fairs. Other internationally known and successful fairs run by MAC Hoffmann & Co. include the art and antiques fairs that take place in Vienna and Salzburg. The VIEVINUM wine fair brings together around 500 producers and importers in the Vienna Hofburg. Over the three days of the fair some 10,000 visitors are expected, including numerous representatives from Austrian and international specialist wine publications. This year again the organisers are being supported by the Austrian Weinmarketing-Servicegesellschaft, who will be bringing numerous, well-known specialist journalists to Vienna for the VIEVINUM. The VIEVINUM is aimed at a wide public, which, in addition to importers, distributors, caterers and specialist merchants, also includes potential private customers who can buy a one-day ticket for € 29.00 or one for all three days at €73.00. The fair is open from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm. The fair is already almost fully booked up. As in preceding years, the rooms in the Vienna Hofburg given over to Austrian wine-growers to present their products will be arranged according to wine-producing region.
