Austria at the VINITALY 2000

(AWMB, March 2000) - The largest specialist wine trade fair in the world, the VINITALY/Verona, takes place this year from 30 March to 3 April.

Much that is international, above all a German and Austrian specialist public will be happy to take the opportunity to enjoy a little of the Italian spring, together with business activities in the cultural city of Verona. Not least for that reason is the wine country of Austria strongly represented with its neighbor. Of the over 40 indigenous exhibitors, the majority use the stand of the Federal Chamber of Commerce for a unified appearance. (Hall 2/Stand C5-6 D5-D6).

The Austrian Wine Marketing Restaurant belongs indisputably to the most pleasant place to meet at Vinitaly. Master host Hias Kucher from Carinthia skillfully ensures that in the Restaurant Park a cozy rendezvous for wine specialists from all over the world is a highpoint renewed each year. Top wines from the exhibiting Austrian vintners are served by the glass to traditional specialties such as goulash, Tafelspitz, and apfelstrudel. Cooperation with the AMA will also be continued to the theme of "Cheese and Wine from Austria."

Within the sphere of the tasting series TASTING EX...PRESS, the Austrian gourmet magazine "FALSTAFF" will hold a commentated tasting at the Vinitaly 2000 to the theme, Great Austrian Botrytis Wines around the Neusiedlersee.
The date: Sunday 2 April 2000, 10am to 12 noon, at the exhibition center, the World Trade Center, in the district of Giotto.
